Progetto Chimera is committed to protecting animals, the environment, and ecosystems.
We promote a culture rooted in respect, anti-speciesism, and plant-based eating.
The festival
Our goal is to build a society in which all animals, human and non-human, are recognized as sentient beings and properly protected by law.
This is why we created Chimera Veg Fest in Brescia, a region marked by hunting, poaching, intensive farming, pollution, and environmental exploitation. A place that urgently needs its community to take care of it and rethink how it relates to the environment and the rest of the biosphere.
We want to show that turning tradition into revolution is far easier than expected when awareness and knowledge lead the way.
The team
All the founders of the association have many years of experience in anti-speciesist activism.
We have worked with animal sanctuaries, organised events both large and small, cooked for hundreds of people, managed fundraising campaigns, and spent countless hours in the streets talking to people — all with the goal of building a fairer world.
In recent years, we’ve strongly felt the need to create a major festival in Brescia as well.
The world is calling for a paradigm shift, and we want to play our part.
